We have one Gel-Plane-Gelcoathobel of of the Linden loved in Wesel and a day (8 hours of work) second hand. This also required some interchangeable blades.
Ein starker, more professional Karcher vacuum cleaner helped a lot, to transport the dust from the gel plane into the garbage bags.
The moisture meter is actually intended for firewood and is not a reliable means of measurement. But at least he gave us a clue, how well the laminate dries.
We have the acidity in the laminate with such PH value measuring discs checked.
With the Flexicat sanding boards we started and they worked really well. But at some point it became too strenuous for us to work with it.
For the sanding work, we therefore mainly worked with two random orbit sanders from Bosch, who were powerful and persistent at the same time.
To vacuum the dust while working more conveniently, helped a lot, such a thin and light one Bosch extension hose (5 Meter) and one Adapter between the grinder and the vacuum cleaner.
We mainly sanded with them 120he grit. We have the osmosis nests with such a one Lamellenschleifer open.
When rebuilding the underwater hull, we first have the holes and indentations with us Spabond 340 (Slow Harder) filled. Then an aramid mat was used in the book area (170 g/m2). Subsequently, the hull was completely once with a fiberglass mat (450 g/m2) overlaminated, the area with aramid double.
Finally, the entire underwater hull was included S Fair 600 putty filled.
All in all: 32 Liter putty, 42 Square glass fiber mat, 6,5 square meter of Kevlar mat. Plus approximately 40 Quadratmeter peel off tissue.
We have the products (except for the aramid mat) of CTM from Schleswig based.
In addition, for the laminating work we have approx 35 Liter Epoxydharz (Epiglas HT9000) consumed.
coating:
We have the underwater hull with a total of seven layers Gelshield 200 overdrawn.
Deck and hull were with Toplac painted. We have small filler work on deck Watertite or 3M marine acrylic spatula (very easy to grind!) done.
In addition, the deck got a new anti-slip covering KiwiGrip (a Dose á 4 Liter)
To mask off the anti-slip areas we have this contour tape helped a lot, that can be glued in very tight radii. Because it's so thin, but we had to connect the area with another one, very good tape mask off.
Miscellaneous refit:
The most important tool on board was such Oszillationssäge. This way you could separate and expose everything.
In connection with such chisels … 😉
We had one of these as scaffolding folding ladder.
When working in dark corners has such a Stableuchte helped a lot.
We have the holes for the new hull penetrations with such hole saws drilled or. with one like that Crucifix enlarged.
In the electrics I have with this labeling machine keep track.
