Damp and sour ...

Dear Readers,

Last weekend we have measured twice the moisture level of osmosis bubbles. Granted, with a not really intended for this purpose device - but a real moisture meter for GRP costs a fortune and the little 20-euro device from Amazon will do just fine, to get an indication. While we on the other areas of the fuselage were no test results (obviously not wet enough), showed the small device in the nests and the setting “Masonry” up to 31 Percent moisture in (of possible 35 Percent). We will monitor the drying process in the cold air now.

Also we tested the acidity with pH-measuring sticks from the pharmacy. Whereas a value of 7 indicating a neutral liquid, 5-6 contrast to an acidic Mische, we have in the nests 5,6 measured, the outside of the hull 5,9 to 6,2 and the keel 6,5. That was actually to be expected.

The values we have taken BEFORE the first rinse. For this we have not yet come. First, the ground was frozen and we would inevitably leave a layer of ice - then did the job on Sunday tackle, but only to find, that with our 30 Meters hose'm not enter the hall. We need probably about 100 Meters more ...
