now things really get going when it comes to boat optimization 🙂
Last weekend I have been with my father in Stavoren. Within one and a half days we have made the contest “our” Ship made. It looks completely different from, like a true blue water yacht. The photos explain it. We were so busy with work Blazed, that we have completely forgotten to take pictures. Therefore, it is virtually the only photos of completed work.
Saturday we were still first half of the day to search for spare parts on the way (and the open day of K&M Yachtbuilders Impressive ...!) and then have dinner with the preparation of the underwater hull and Antifoulingstreichen (Manfred) and replacing the name (John) started. The next morning we were to 7 Clock on the legs. While my father has completed the underwater paint, I have drawn lines in the new mast. Then Manfred has made to the Bordklo, while I wind generator, the EPIRB and the wind vane mounted have. Now the ship is equipped almost entirely for a long voyage. Only a new mainsail is still missing – the old is in fact the very first on the 40 Year-old boat! – and of course the very labor-intensive osmosis treatment in the fall.
This day is the “MAVERICK too” without getting water. On Friday morning we want to make it to the first stage and run the boat at the same.
Cati is just pretty busy. Every day from morning to evening, they crammed for their exams in mid-July. But when it's over, We go in late July / early August first three weeks sailing. I haven't had that much vacation in three years 🙂
