Bastian Hauck has circumnavigated the Baltic Sea. Twice actually already - because he is just a week ago from another trip, led him high in the north and Haparanda, returned to his native plains.
I Bastian 2008 met at the Hanseboot. A few months later, we have fought together in the legendary hamburger Gründgens road through the course of LRC and a visit to Berlin there made the streets unsafe. I have many stories of his journey with “Tadorna”, a wooden Folkboat touring, learn first-hand. Now he has his summer 2008 a book written, which was published by Delius Klasing Verlag. I have read in the spring of the first version, piece by piece against and can recommend the investment. Although many an experienced sailor (similar, As with my journey with the Maverick ...) beat up on some stories may be their hands over their heads, when a stranding in Poland, the speech, Bastian because under (PVC pipes homemade) Windvane only half a mile from the beach, loaded a nap below deck has - but just the stories of a reckless man, everything can be returned to the country, to his beloved “Brandgänslein” (=”tadorna”) a summer sailing long to go, make the book so interesting and entertaining reading.
Especially for younger people, an interesting reading material. I have the book but still do not have on my shelf, aber soviel kann sich ja seit der ersten Version nicht verändert haben 😉
Also: Buy, read! 🙂

By the way: Bastian told at the 18. October in Berlin and at the Urania 30. October in the Savings Bank Arena Kiel about his experiences. I have listened to him last winter in Schleswig again. My Conclusion: Madness, how beautiful it is, to own a small boat and go back to wherever you. “Small boats, small problems!”
Again, by the way: “Tadorna” has been a very blatant trip on the two previous owner behind: To Morocco!
